Menfi and its neighboring municipalities are known for their vineyards and olive groves, which characterize the landscape. Some of the island's best wineries are found in this place. When touring the famous route of the "Strada del Vino delle Terre Sicane", you come across a number of wineries where local wines can be tasted. The annual wine festival in June also attracts a lot of visitors.
As the ruins of the Greek town of Selinunte are only ca. 20 km from Menfi, you should definitely put them on your places-to-visit/excursions-to-make list. The well-preserved temple ruins are impressive witnesses to the importance the town once held. Numerous exhibits from ancient Selinunte are on display at the museum on the site.
The beaches of the comune of Menfi are Lido Fiori, Bertolino, Porto Palo und Cipollazzo. They are the only coastal stretches on the south-west coast of Sicily to fly the Blue Flag, the latter a distinctive sign of particularly good water and bathing quality.

The town is known for its excellent cuisine, which is strongly influenced by the Mediterranean diet. Often found on the menus of the local restaurants: fresh fish and seafood, accompanied by exquisite olive oil and fresh vegetables from the region. Be sure to try local specialties such as "Pasta con le Sarde" and/or "Sarde a Beccafico".
