Sicilia-travel.com news

(April 13th, 2021) Since April 12th, 2021 Sicily has been re-categorized as "zona arancione". At and around Easter, Italy as a whole had been categorized 'red' in order to avoid unnecessary contacts and traveling between the regions. Now the color 'orange' brings along at least a slight easing of restrictions. Mobility, for one, is not as limited as before. However, traveling to other regions as well as outside the municipal/communal area (if more than 5,000 inhabitants) is allowed with good reason only. There is a curfew as of 22.00 h.

Bars and restaurants are allowed to offer meals to be picked up, i.e. to "take away". Stores are, however, allowed to open, in compliance with the known requirements concerning hygiene etc. The current resolutions of the government under Mario Draghi are valid until April 30th, 2021. This also goes for the fact that entry to Italy from the EU area requires a negative Covid-19 test as well as a 5-day quarantine upon arrival.

Questions and answers concerning Covid-19 and traveling in 2021 as well as our terms of cancellation for the 2021 season are found in our FAQ.
