Scicli is located in the southeast of Sicily, at the intersection of three ravines. In 1693, the small country town was completely destroyed by a devastating earthquake and then rebuilt in the style of the Sicilian Baroque. Scicli with its Baroque buildings and beautifully laid out squares is listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site.
