Comfortable Villa Marilu with its spacious outdoor area lies at the tip of the peninsula Isola di Siracusa and on the border of nature reserve Plemmirio.

The sea is only 300 m off. A bathing spot sloping gently into the sea is only 1.5 km, the nearest sandy beaches are 5 km off.

Villa Marilu is only 13 km from the UNESCO World Heritage listed town of Syracuse. 

In one of his speeches, Cicero, greatest orator of his time, described Syracuse as "the greatest Greek city and the most beautiful of all". Stroll through the Old Town, which is located on a small island, and feel the breath of the past.

When we are onsite, friendly owner Maria Lucia goes into rhapsodies and tells us about mild nights on the villa’s terrace at full moon, when moon and stars illuminate the landscape and the sea takes on a golden glow.

On the four terraces, two of which are roofed, you are sure to find your favorite spot during the daytime and in the evening.

Charming villa with WiFi

The ground floor of Villa Marilu includes a double bedroom, a bedroom with bunk bed, a bathroom with shower cabin, WC and bidet, the kitchen with oven, gas stove and refrigerator with freezer compartment as well as the living-dining room with wood-fired stove, TV and sofa.

The second double bedroom with access of the balcony and another bathroom with shower cabin, WC and bidet are found on the upper floor.

Garden with outdoor kitchen

The spacious premises Villa Marilu is located on offer a fantastic splendor of Mediterranean plants. Pine, olive and carob trees provide for pleasant shade on hot days and bright bougainvilleas add dabs of color.

On the two sea view terraces, the roofed terrace as well as on the balcony, which is accessible from the upper-floor bedroom, you are sure to find your favorite spot for reading or relaxing out in the open.

Rattan furniture, sun beds and a sun shade are at your disposal in the outdoor area.

Outdoor kitchen: If you want to do some cooking together out in the open, use the brick pizza oven, grill and 4-burner gas stove in the outdoor kitchen.

The villa is furnished with, amongst others, air conditioning, wood-fired stove, WiFi, washing machine, iron, radio and TV, outdoor kitchen and outdoor shower.

You can park your car on the fenced premises.

Surroundings

A grocery store and a pizzeria are about 200 m, the nearest restaurants and supermarket 3 km off.

300 m along a footpath take you to the rocky coast with steep access into the sea. 1.5 km off along the coast, there is a gently sloping access to the sea. Sandy beaches with parking are found 5 km off.

Tips

At nature reserve Plemmirio, crystal clear water and an underwater world rich in species offer a great opportunity to get to know the Mediterranean Sea under water.

Diving centers in the surrounding area rent out snorkeling equipment and offer diving courses.

Experience pure culture at "Ortigia"; the Old Town of Syracuse is located on a small island caressed by the sea.

Take a leisurely walk through the car-free centro storico, stroll through lovely alleys, where small artists' shops display their goods out in the open.

Stroll along the seaside promenade to the cathedral square, the town’s grandest square featuring late Baroque buildings and the majestic cathedral with its well-preserved columns of the former Temple of Athena.
