Mediterranean style Villa Gialla sits enthroned on Isola di Siracusa – the small peninsula south of Syracuse - and only 700 m from the sea.

The holiday home is located on a 20,000 m² property with lush vegetation, rambling garden and pool and offers a simply unique view.

Due to the villa's location on a rise, you meet with a view across the peninsula's evergreen landscape, a view of the sea hugging the peninsula's shores and of Syracuse, the town rich in history on the other side of the bay.

Unwind far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy your holidays, which might well be a mix of relaxation, culture and fun at the beach!

Tasteful holiday home

Villa Gialla is located on rambling premises with a pool for shared use as well as further holiday accommodations and the residence of the owner.

Villa Gialla lies somewhat apart, above the pool.

WIFI is available in the communal area of the Bed & Breakfast, ca. 50 m below the holiday home.

You can park your car on the fenced premises.

Ground floor

You enter Villa Gialla via the ground floor terrace and into the open-plan living-dining area with comfortable sofa, TV and dinette.

One of the villa's two bathrooms (shower/WC/bidet) as well as the kitchen, which includes a gas stove, a free-standing oven and a refrigerator with freezer compartment, are also found on the ground floor.  

The spacious, lower terrace is furnished with several seating accommodations, a sunlounger and a sun shade.

Upper floor

The second bathroom (bathtub/WC/bidet) and the two bedrooms, each furnished with double bed, wardrobe and mosquito net, are located on the upper floor. In one of the bedrooms, a pull-out sofa offers sleeping facility for a fifth person.

The upper floor offers access of the sea view balcony with seating accommodations.

Furnishing of Villa Gialla includes central heating and washing machine.

Holiday home with pool for shared use

The pool, which measures 18 m in length, is for shared use by all the holiday guests staying on the premises and usually open from mid-May to October (changes due to weather conditions possible).

After swimming your laps in the pool, relax in the sun on the comfortable sunbeds around the pool.

Surroundings

The sea and restaurants are 700 m, shopping facilities 1 km off.

The nearest sandy beach with parking facilities and small bar is 1.6 km, a boat rental 1 km off.

Delicious dishes of fresh fish are served at "Ostrica Park" (700 m) and "Il Circolo" (1 km), two seaside restaurants we can recommend.

For your journey to Sicily: Catania airport is about an hour's drive north of Syracuse.

Destinations for excursions

The gorgeous centro storico of Syracuse, 7 km off, fascinates you with its numerous monuments, majestic cathedral and millennia old history.

In ancient times, Syracuse counted among the most powerful towns of the world then known and Cicero called it the most beautiful and greatest of all Greek towns.

Also within a radius of 10 km lie the long sandy beach of Fontane Bianche and nature reserve Fiume Ciane e Saline di Siracusa.

About 30 km south of Syracuse, you can visit and have a closer look at the Baroque towns of Avola and Noto. Or go for a hike in famous nature reserve Oasi Vendicari and stop for a swim at the marvelous beaches there. The nature reserve is a place of rest for migratory birds on their way to Africa in winter.

In the hinterland of Syracuse, the UNESCO World Heritage listed necropolis of Pantálica with its 5000 tomb caves and the deep gorge of the Anapo river await you at nature reserve „Riserva Naturale Orientata“.
