Culture, nature and sea – holidays at Scopello have quite a lot to offer! During your stay at gorgeous Villa Mimma, you are not only a stone’s throw from sea, but also close to impressive buildings of Sicily’s various cultural epochs.
At the abbey of Monreale in the vicinity of Palermo or the Doric temples of Segesta the past comes alive and you can follow the traces of the old Greeks and Normans!
To those interested in the rich flora and fauna of Italy’s largest island, we recommend a hiking tour through nature reserve Riserva dello Zingaro.
Water bugs and sun worshippers will be delighted to find the beach of Guidaloca only 1 km off and an ideal place for swimming and sunbathing.
A garden with palm and olive trees as well as Mediterranean flowers awaits you on the fenced premises of Villa Mimma, which was named for the grandmother of Nino, the owner.
The inside is characterized by spacious rooms on two floors which accommodate up to eight persons. Due to the four comfortable double bedrooms, one of them with twin beds, and the two bathrooms (with shower, WC and bidet each) the villa is the perfect holiday accommodation for larger families or friends.
Traveling together, but respecting the other’s privacy – at Villa Mimma this is no problem at all. The two living rooms, one on the ground, the other on the first floor, offer opportunities to withdraw and read or simply relax and let the day fade away while savoring a glass of wine.
The eat-in kitchen, which opens towards the living room, is equipped with refrigerator with freezer compartment, dish washer, small oven, gas stove and microwave. From here, you access one of the two sea view terraces.
Should you have a passion for typically Italian pizza, then use the stone oven, which is found in an extra room, and bake your pizza the traditional way - in consultation with the owner.
Guests at Villa Mimma can choose among three roofed terraces, two of them offering a view of the sea. Sufficient garden furniture is provided.
In the garden of the villa, you can also use the masonry outdoor kitchen with grill, which adds to this unique feeling of outdoor living, especially on mild summer evenings. The outdoor shower comes in handy if you need refreshment or when returning from the beach.
Villa Mimma includes, amongst others, dish washer, washing machine, air conditioning with heating system, fireside (for a fee), TV and grill.
Parking: Up to two cars can be parked on the premises.
There is a bus stop nearby. Thus, you can easily reach the fishing village of Scopello 4 km off with its small supermarket, cafés and restaurants as well as the picturesque harbor Castellammare del Golfo, which is about 10 km off.
The beach of Guidaloca is 1 km off; more sandy beaches and bays are found around Scopello and at Castellammare del Golfo.
