Culture, nature and sea – holidays at Scopello have quite a lot to offer!
When staying at gorgeous Villa Mimma, you are not only a stone’s throw from the sea, but also close to impressive buildings of Sicily’s various cultural epochs.
At the abbey of Monreale near Palermo or the Doric temples of Segesta the past comes alive and you can follow the traces of the old Greeks and Normans!
Should you be interested in the rich flora and fauna of Italy’s largest island, go on a hiking tour through nature reserve Riserva dello Zingaro.
Water bugs and sun worshippers are sure to find the beach of Guidaloca only 1 km off an ideal place for swimming and sunbathing.
A garden with palm and olive trees as well as Mediterranean flowers awaits you on the fenced premises of Villa Mimma, which was named for the grandmother of owner Nino.
The inside is characterized by spacious rooms on two floors, which accommodate up to eight persons.
With its four comfortable double bedrooms, one of which is furnished with twin beds, and its two bathrooms (with shower, WC and bidet each) the villa is the perfect holiday accommodation for larger families or friends.
Traveling together, but being able to keep your privacy – at spacious Villa Mimma problem at all.
As there are also two living rooms, one on the ground and one on the first floor, you are sure to find a spot you can withdraw to, where you can read or simply relax, where you can let the day fade away savoring a glass of wine.
The eat-in kitchen, which opens towards the living room, is equipped with refrigerator with freezer compartment, dish washer, small oven, gas stove and microwave. The kitchen opens onto one of the two sea view terraces.
You have got a passion for typically Italian pizza? There is a stone oven in an extra room, where you can bake your pizza the traditional way - after checking with the owner.
At Villa Mimma you can choose from among three roofed terraces, two of which offer a view of the sea. Sufficient garden furniture is provided.
In the garden of the villa, you find a masonry outdoor kitchen with grill at your disposal. Instead of inside you can do your cooking outside, which adds to this unique feeling of outdoor living, especially on mild summer evenings.
The outdoor shower comes in handy if you need to cool off in between or after returning from the beach.
Furnishing of Villa Mimma includes, amongst others, dish washer, washing machine, air conditioning with heating system, fireplace (for a fee), TV and grill.
Parking: Up to two cars can be parked on the premises.
As there is a bus stop nearby, you can catch a bus to get to the center of the fishing village of Scopello 4 km off with its small supermarket, cafés and restaurants as well as to the picturesque town and harbor of Castellammare del Golfo about 10 km off.
The beach of Guidaloca is 1 km off; more sandy beaches and bays are found around Scopello and at Castellammare del Golfo.
