Only 100 meters from the sandy dune beach

At the southernmost point of Sicily, near the town of Santa Maria del Focallo, Villa Isola dei Porri, named for the small offshore island of "Porri", lies embedded in a green landscape.

Only 100 m lie between the lovely holiday home and the 7 km of sandy dune beach, which slopes gently into the sea and is therefore especially great for children. Simply walking barefoot along this stretch of beach with its fine, golden sands and accompanied by the sounds of the sea is a delight, too.

The coastal stretch is regularly awarded the Bandiera Blu for high water quality and cleanness. The beach is in fact cleaned every day. Conditions for a swim or 'bath' in the clear waters of the sea on hot summer days are ideal.

Holiday home in fantastic surroundings

In the drive up to Villa Isola dei Porri you are welcomed by, and at first maybe amazed at, Sicily's lush vegetation. The eye is caressed by a pleasant play of colors arising from the magnificently green plants growing on the 2,000 m² property and the apricot coating of the house. You arrive and immediately feel at ease.

About half of the property is reserved for the cultivation of citrus fruit. Within a small, fenced-in area behind the terrace, the owner raises turtles, which might appeal above all to our young guests. 

Spend relaxing days in the midst of a marvelous Sicilian landscape, surrounded by the delicious fragrance of lemons and caressed by the fresh sea breeze.

Accommodation for up to 5 persons

The villa includes three bedrooms, two with double bed and one with twin beds. One of the double bedrooms opens onto a small terrace in front of the villa.

In the cozy live-and-eat-in kitchen (incl. gas stove, oven, fridge-freezer) you can prepare delicious Sicilian delicacies, for example "Involtini alla siciliana", generously stuffed roulades, and then enjoy your meal on one of the two beautiful terraces with your family or friends.

There's one bathroom (bathtub with shower device/WC/bidet) in the villa; another bathroom (shower/WC) is found in a separate building and accessible from the rear terrace.

In the outdoor area of Villa Isola dei Porri, where you are sure to find your favorite spot for a leisurely sunbath, you find an outdoor shower, loungers, a hammock and a wood-fired oven at your disposal, the latter perfect for an 'Italian pizza evening'.

Furnishing of the villa also includes WIFI (free of charge), washing machine, TV, air conditioning with heating device (in two rooms; extra charge for use).

Parking is available on the completely fenced premises.

Beaches, flamingos and Santa Maria del Focallo

At Santa Maria del Focallo (2.5 km off) and Pozzallo (7 km off), you find various shopping facilities, kiosks, newsagents, gas stations, bars and restaurants. On a mild summer evening, go to Pozzallo and stop at ice cream parlor L’Artigianale right at the lungomare. Very delicious, typically Sicilian and a must-try – pistachio ice cream.

Villa Isola dei Porri is very conveniently located with regard to excursions into the environs. Nature reserve Oasi Vendicari is not far away. With its lakes and lagoons it is a popular resting place for a great number of migratory birds on their long journey to or from Africa. Storks, flamingos and herons, for example, count among the over 180 different species.

The late Baroque and UNESCO World Heritage listed towns of Ispica, Noto and Modica are easily reached by car and absolutely worth a visit.

The beautiful sandy beaches around Capo Passero at the southernmost point of Sicily invite you to stop by and enjoy the clear, turquoise colored sea.  

You might also consider a day trip to Malta; by catamaran from Pozzallo it takes you about an hour to get there.
