At the long sandy beach of Donnalucata, Carmelo and Francesca have realized their dream of a small Sicilian beach house. As soon as you step outside, you feel the golden sand tickling your soles.

You see the waves gently rolling towards you at this still authentic coastal section, where you can spend wonderful holidays at any time of the year.

Should you really tire of these wide expanses of beach, then stop by the nearby charming Baroque towns of Scicli, Ragusa, Ispica or Modica. Strolling through the alleys, creamy ice cream in hand, is great, above all on mild summer evenings.

Nothing but sand and sea...

Casa Carmelo is located on the first floor of a terrace house with altogether 3 apartments, which you enter via the beach.

The holiday apartment accommodates up to four persons and includes a bedroom with double bed, a living room and two bathrooms (shower cabin/WC/bidet each), one of which is the en suite of the bedroom. The kitchen unit (incl. gas stove, refrigerator, coffee machine) is found in the entrance area.

The living room of Casa Carmelo is furnished with a sofa bed for 2, a cozy chair, a small dining table with chairs and TV. It offers access of the entrance area with kitchen unit and of one of the bathrooms and opens onto the sea view balcony.

From the balcony you have got an uninhibited view of the sea. The canopy always provides for a shady spot, where you can either unwind or simply watch what is going on at the beach.

Casa Carmelo also features free WiFi and fly screens in all the windows.

The tenants of the three apartment share a laundry room with wash basin and washing machine in the inner courtyard. This also goes for the small garden with grill and sun loungers behind the house.

Parking: You can park your car in one of the public parking areas near the holiday apartment.

Surroundings & shopping

Casa Carmelo is about 800 m from the center of Donnalucata, which you can walk to along the beach. By car it is about 2 km. At Donnalucata, you find grocery stores, restaurants and bars open year-round.

Nearby, UNESCO World Heritage listed Scicli is a lovely, small town with well-preserved Baroque palazzi. It was also one of the movie settings for the famous Montalbano detective stories by the Sicilian author Andrea Camilleri.

A tip for water sports

If you love water sports, stop at Sicily's largest surf and kite surf center at Santa Maria del Focallo, which is about half an hour by car from Donnalucata.
