Una casa piena di ricordi - a house full of memories

It was a happy occasion that decided the owners of Casa Marianna to move to their more spacious house in the countryside – the birth of their second daughter. The latter as well as her sister Marianna, whom the holiday apartment was named after, are their parents’ pride and joy.

Cilentano gladly accepted the offer to manage the rental of the apartment: location at the seaside, spacious sea view terrace and comfortable furnishing – a perfect holiday accommodation for our guests.

Casa Marianna is located on the second floor of the owners’ parental home at Lido di Avola. A separate outdoor staircase runs up to the terrace, from where you enter the holiday apartment.

The sea with bathing area is only 100 m, the gently sloping sandy beach only 500 m off.

What is special about Casa Marianna is the fact that the owners have left the apartment’s furnishing largely unchanged. You find, amongst others, water colors by the owner, which feature atmospheric impressions of Noto, 19th century furniture, such as the wonderful bookshelf, and Liberty-style upholstered furniture. The beautiful wood beamed ceiling and tasteful wood flooring top off the ambience. 

The spacious living-dining room is furnished, amongst others, with TV as well as a sofa corner.

From the kitchen with masonry kitchenette, which includes 4-burner gas stove, small oven and refrigerator with freezer compartment, you can 'keep an eye on' the sea while preparing your meals. 

From the living room you enter a hallway which takes you to the bedrooms and the two bathrooms.

The large double bedroom opens onto a small sea view balcony. The second bedroom is also a double. The third bedroom with queen-size bed has got a cozy reading corner with bookshelf and offers access of the rear terrace.

There are two well-tended bathrooms, one with shower, WC/bidet, the other one with bathtub, WC/bidet.

Spacious outdoor area with sea view

As Sicily is located on the same latitude as North Africa, summer season on Italy's largest island often starts as early as end of March and lasts to the end of November. You can enjoy the terrace of Casa Marianna almost all year round, be it by taking long sunbaths or – for romantics – by gazing at the stars on clear summer nights.

In midsummer, the roofed part of the terrace provides shelter from the sun. And you can still enjoy your outdoor breakfast to the full.

High-quality wooden garden furniture as well as sunbeds and a garden swing provide for a pleasant outdoor atmosphere.

Furnishing of Casa Marianna includes, amongst others, WIFI, air conditioning with heating system, washing machine, ironing board and iron.

You can park your car along the road (cul-de-sac), next to the house.

Surroundings and excursions

The sea with bathing area is only 100 m off. It is a 500-meter walk to the nearest sandy beach with lido, sunbed and sun shade rental. Besides the stretch of beach with service, there is also a free area.

Shops, bars and restaurants are found 500 to 1000 m off.

Enjoying the sea and the beach during your holidays at Avola is a matter of course. Including other activities, e.g. excursions, in your holiday program might still be worth considering. Stopping by Noto, Sicily's magnificent and probably most beautiful Baroque town, for example, is surely worth your while.

Should you be fascinated by Sicily’s gorgeous nature, you might go on an excursion to the waterfalls at Cava Grande di Cassibile in the hinterland of Avola.
