Typically Sicilian small town life
Adjacent to the nature reserve of Vendicari and the coastal landscape of Capo Passero, lies the small town of Pachino.
A visitor to this place will encounter typically Sicilian small town life. Agriculture, especially viniculture, characterizes the landscape. Those coming here for a holiday are in search of unspoilt nature.

Untainted nature at the Oasi di Vendicari
Established in 1974, the nature reserve Oasi di Vendicari represents a unique coastal landscape. Dunes, woodland and the so-called "patani", several lagoon lakes, shape the reserve. Man-made hiking trails run across this area of ca. 1500 ha. With a bit of luck you can watch flamingos, cranes, pelicans and pond turtles – a great experience for the young and young-at-heart.
The coast at the southeast cape, at Capo Passero, and its sandy beaches are a perfect dream. Green and largely unspoilt, nature in this area is constantly caressed by a pleasantly fresh breeze.
