The villa at the seaside

Villa Mediterranea offers whatever is important to make your stay on the island of Sicily a pleasant one.
It radiates an inviting atmosphere - the southern Italian sun underlines the white of the facade and the blue of the window shutters. From the spacious veranda you can let your eyes travel over the Ionian Sea, relaxing in the hammock suspended between two pine trees you can set your mind free.

With two double bedrooms as well as a sofa bed (recommended only for children) in the living area, the villa accommodates a family of up to six persons. From one of the two bedrooms you can step right out onto the terrace and enjoy the fantastic view of the sea.

The spacious living-dining room with a cozy sofa corner and SAT-TV opens onto the terrace, too.

From the well-appointed kitchen (incl. refrigerator with freezer compartment, 4-burner gas stove, oven, microwave, water boiler, espresso maker) you have got a wonderful view of the garden. 

The holiday home has got one bathroom (shower cabin/WC/bidet) and a guest bath. 

Furnishing of Villa Mediterranea also includes washing machine, air conditioning in the bedrooms and in the living area, safe, iron and ironing board, radio as well as CD and MP3 player and baby cradle.

Outdoor area with sea view

In the well-tended garden surrounding the villa, pine and palm trees provide for pleasant shade and shelter from the southern Italian midday sun, the gorgeous blossoms of hibiscus, oleander and roses are a delight to behold, in the evening the pleasant fragrance of jasmine fills the air.

On the two spacious terraces, both with garden furniture, one roofed, you can enjoy your breakfasts with sea view and leisurely evenings savoring the Sicilian delicacies you have prepared on the stone grill.

Relax on the loungers and worship the sun, make yourself comfortable in the hammock and listen to the sound of the waves – at Villa Mediterranea, you get your money’s worth!

Parking: You can park your car on the fenced premises or at the roadside in front of the property.

Villa Mediterranea is only 900 m from the beautiful bathing resort of Fontane Bianche, which is known for its picturesque coast, sandy beach and crystal clear water.

The coast is made up of rocky sections and light golden sandy beaches.

At Fontane Bianche, you find various restaurants, grocery stores and bars.

Tips for excursions

Should you wish to enjoy not only the beach but also a bit of culture during your holidays, visit the UNESCO World Heritage listed, Baroque town of Noto 19 km off, which is surely one of Sicily's most beautiful towns.

Take a leisurely walk through town, where Sicilian-Baroque buildings, above all the cathedral of San Nicolò, await you. Stroll through the small alleys and across the squares and experience the fascination the magnificent Baroque buildings hold for visitors.

If you prefer walks along more solitary trails and through untouched nature, do not miss out on visiting the nature reserve of Oasi Vendicari about 25 km south of Fontane Bianche. The nature reserve is a great place for hiking tours, offers beautiful spots where you can go for a swim in the sea and is, all in all, a place where you can admire Sicily's lush nature.
