Casa Parisi offers holiday atmosphere at its best: this holiday home in southeast Sicily is located only 50 metres from the wonderful, wide sandy beach of the fishing village of Sampieri.
For those who wish to spend a holiday at the seaside and take part in original Sicilian village life Casa Parisi is exactly the right place. The holiday home is also an ideal starting point for excursions to the towns of Scicli, Ragusa, Modica and Noto, which the UNESCO has declared World Heritage Sites.
It is not in the least surprising that Sampieri’s kilometres of beach have been chosen as a main setting of the Commissario Montalbano series. Fantastic sandy beach as far as you can see and crystal clear water promise fun at the beach in every way.
Do as the Sicilian superintendent does – walk along the beach or dive into the clear water of the sea.
The former fisherman’s house Casa Parisi with its wonderful roof terrace was built at the end of the 19th century and is centrally located, in a one-way street only about 50 metres from the beach. A supermarket and other shops are just around the corner.
The unique charm of the holiday home is made for by the high ceilings of reed and the nice stone façade with its blue and green window shutters.
Other characteristic features are the stone walls inside the holiday accommodation.
The main entrance takes you into the large kitchen-cum-living room. The comfortable living area is tastefully furnished and lovingly decorated. There are two large sofas, one of which can be used as a daybed for two persons.
The dining area and the fitted kitchen (with oven) are located on a slightly raised level and separated from the living area by a small railing.
Here you will find more seating accommodations and a dining table where you can sit together and enjoy your homemade dishes or a glass of wine.
The kitchen-cum-living room provides a radio and CD player. The air conditioning system with integrated heating function will be of good use on hot days.
The neat bathroom of the holiday home is equipped with shower, WC and bidet.
A small hallway takes you from the kitchen-cum-living room to the cozy bedroom with double bed and TV. This room gives onto the 20 sqm roof terrace which offers a view of the sea. The washing machine underneath the staircase comes in handy if you stay on for a while.
The wonderful roof terrace of Casa Parisi with its cactuses is partly roofed and offers an outdoor shower - welcome and refreshing at the end of a long day at the beach.
Here, you can relax and enjoy the Sicilian summer or sit back comfortably and let an exciting day fade away.
The fishing village of Sampieri counts among the coastal villages most characteristic for the southeast coast of Sicily. Houses of stone nestling against each other in the numerous small alleys give this coastal town its original character.
From the beautifully laid out promenade, you will catch sight of the old brickworks destroyed by fire, a popular motive at the east coast of Sampieri.
During your holiday in southeast Sicily, you should not miss out on excursions to the "Baroque jewels of Noto valley".
The impressing towns of Scicli (10 km from Sampieri), Modica (25 km off), Ragusa (38 km off) and Noto (41 km off) were declared World Heritage Sites by the UNESCO and are characterized by their Baroque style buildings which were built after the devastating earthquake of 1693.
