Villa Eden – Two seaside holiday apartments near Marzamemi

A garden Eden in Sicily´s authentic south

The name of the accommodation sounds like a promise of what awaits you at San Lorenzo near Marzamemi. Villa Eden is a gem of elegance and style and found at one of the island’s most beautiful coastal sections. From the two cozy apartments and the terraces your gaze falls upon the azure colored sea.

Villa Eden is located behind Villa Baia Marina, which belongs to the same owner. The two houses are, however, positioned in such a way as to guarantee sea view from all the apartments.

A small bathing bay below the two houses is a mere 200 m off. That is where, on the owner's private property and shaded by sun sails, the guests of Villa Eden and Villa Baia Marina find a spot with sun lounger and deck chairs reserved for each accommodation unit.

A separate, private path lined by terracotta colored planters runs up to each holiday apartment.

Holiday apartment no. 3

Apartment no. 3 is located to the left, when facing the sea. The lovely apartment accommodates up to four persons, with sleeping facilities in one bedroom (double bed + single bed) and on a sofa bed in the living area. It includes two bathrooms (shower/WC/bidet; shower/WC) and a combined kitchen-living-dining room, from where you enjoy a view of the sea while dining or relaxing.

Holiday apartment no. 4

Next-door apartment no. 4 is also laid out for 4 persons. The bedroom sleeps three (double bed + single bed) and there is a sofa bed in the cozy combined kitchen-living-dining room. From the latter as well as from the adjoining terrace you can enjoy the view of the sea. This apartment has got one bathroom (shower/WC/bidet).

Furnishing of each apartment includes: TV, WiFi, air conditioning with heating system (extra charge for use); washing machine in the outdoor area; gas stove, oven, refrigerator, coffee machine, electric kettle in the kitchen area; hair dryer in the bathroom.

Larger groups, families as well as friends might consider renting both apartments (if available). The connecting door between the terraces could then be opened.

Outdoor area with a touch of the Caribbean

Palm trees of imposing heights and a well-maintained lawn characterize the outdoor area of Villa Eden, which is surrounded by a waist-high sandstone wall.

Each apartment comes with a shaded terrace and a private plot of garden, where you find a sun shade sail, loungers, garden furniture and an outdoor shower (cold/warm water) at your disposal.

There is a reserved parking space for each apartment on the fenced premises.

Surroundings of Villa Eden

At the beach of San Lorenzo, you find both free sections and sections with service. The gently sloping, long sandy beach with Lido Agua Beach is about 400 m from Villa Eden.

The holiday apartment is only 3 km from the picturesque fishing village of Marzamemi, where the locals meet in the wonderful piazza "to see and to be seen". Around the piazza fancy bars, restaurants and small boutiques line up next to each other. Marzamemi as well as not too far off Noto are nice places to go for evening strolls and to enjoy the dishes of fresh fish and/or regional delicacies served at the restaurants.

If you love wine, do try "Cantina Milazzo", a white wine of organic quality, which you can buy, amongst others, at Marzamemi and then savor on your terrace.

Whether you love nature or culture or both, in the nearer surroundings of San Lorenzo you are sure to get your money’s worth. Nature reserve Oasi Vendicari, which is well-known for its richness in and diversity of species, borders on the town of San Lorenzo. Magnificent Baroque towns such as Noto and Syracuse are quickly reached by car (ca. 10 min. / 30 min.).
