Hotel Terra dei Sogni hugs the slopes of Sicily's landmark rising up to 3,300 m and is surrounded by the volcano's fertile soil. Take in the pleasant fragrance of the orange and lemon groves on the hotel's 20,000 m² premises while cooling off in the gorgeous pool with Mount Etna in sight.

The hotel is located in Fiumefreddo di Sicilia, a contemplative place and at the same time a nature reserve with a lush growth of palm trees and plants, which is only 10 km from the world famous town of Taormina.

The sea and the beach of Marina di Cottone with its fine pebbles and awarded the "Bandiera Blu" for best water quality are only 2.5 km off.

The accommodation:

The hotel's two buildings include altogether 23 rooms. The rooms we have chosen have got either a terrace or a balcony with a view of the sea or Mount Etna.

These rooms offer en suite bathroom (shower, WC), TV, air conditioning with integrated heating system, mini bar, safe and balcony or terrace. Three and four bed rooms offer a double bed and a bunk bed.

The beautiful pool in the centre of the grounds invites you to relax (opening period caused by the weather).

Furthermore, the hotel includes jogging trail, bocce court as well as children's playground.

Board:

You can book a stay including either breakfast or half board. For breakfast you serve yourself at a rich buffet. In the evening, you are served typically Sicilian dishes made of local and partly home produced ingredients. An antipasto dish is followed by a first course and a second course with side dishes; you can choose fish or meat. The dessert is either a sweet dish or fruit. Drinks are not included.

Service:

The accommodation offers free Wireless-LAN; there is parking, a bar and a cafeteria.

Bikes can be rented for 2 € per hour and for 10 € per day.

For excursions into the environs, the hotel offers transfer to Taormina or a pickup excursion to Mount Etna.

Tips for excursions:

From Fiumefreddo you can, for example, start on a tour to Mount Etna along the scenic road Mareneve. After arriving at an altitude of 1,800 m, four-wheel busses, which run from spring to autumn, take you to an altitude of about 2,800 m where you can enjoy the unique view and a close look at the bizarre volcanic landscape.

Taormina, Sicily's most popular town only 10 km off, is also worth a visit. Like a balcony 200 m above the coast it opens upon a fantastic view of the sea and gigantic Mount Etna.

A cultural highlight which you should not miss out on is Catania, Sicily's second largest town, which lies in the midst of an impressive natural landscape. On the one side Mount Etna rises up majestically overlooking this town rich in history, on the other side lies the nature reserve „Oasi del Simeto“.
